Dryopteris lepidopoda is a superb fern introduction from western China/Taiwan. The 2' tall x 2' wide evergreen clump has new fronds which emerge a stunning reddish-orange. The olive green foliage is held atop hairy black stipes. Sunset fern prefers a rich, evenly moist site in garden.
