    This hard-to-find, but easy-to-grow, dwarf fern from New Zealand is a real cutie. The narrow, rigidly upright, green fronds that feel like sandpaper (reddish when they emerge) make a nice, slowly spreading, evergreen groundcover for moist woodland sites. This is a truly distinctive fern for those in the right zone, or with a sunroom.
