Disporopsis undulata 'Jade Point' comes from disporopsis guru Aaron Floden, who received this from China. In appearance, it differs completely from Disporopsis undulata 'Sichuan Jade' but, so far, DNA has been unable to distinguish between species. Aaron tells us that Disporopsis undulata 'Jade Point' is one of the most evergreen disporopsis he grows in east Tennessee, producing 1' tall stalks that are dark violet at the base. The stalks are clothed with 3.5" long x 1.5" wide, glossy, undulate leaves. The leaf axils are home to small bright yellow flowers in mid-May (NC). Disporopsis undulata 'Jade Point' forms an easy-to-grow 2' wide clump in 5 years.
