Dicentra 'Burning Hearts' is one of those plants that makes your heart stop with delight. Dicentra 'Burning Hearts' comes from Japan's Akira Shiozaki, who crossed the Japanese native Dicentra perigrina with the North American native Dicentra eximia. The 1' tall x 18" wide clump is composed of delicate-looking glaucous blue foliage and is topped from April through September with 1' tall spikes of luscious, red, heart-shaped flowers. Dicentra 'Burning Hearts' is a full sun plant...it will die in shade.
