This Heronswood selection of the Mexican D. merckii is a particularly nice, dark mauve-flowered (RHS 82B) selection, named after our friend and NC garden designer Edith Eddleman, who spotted it in a group of seedlings at Heronswood. The cosmos-like, green foliage makes a 2' wide clump, topped from spring until fall with 2" flowers.
