    This is a truly spectacular perennial statement in the garden. This hardy form of cardoon has the large grey green arching cutleaf foliage. The blue violet thistle like flower are held atop the striking foliage. This species has few spines, which is why we grow it. For a striking accent plant in the border, you aren't going to beat this one!
