So many new plants...so little time. This new-to-the-US curcuma comes from Malaysia, via Florida plant-nut Mike McCaffery. So far it is unidentified as to species, but appears similar to the beautiful C. rubescens. The narrow, pleated green leaves radiate out from a brilliant red stem to form the 5' tall clump. This spring bloomer will flower better once established, on 10" spikes, each ending in a "cone"...green-white on the bottom changing to burgundy-red at the top.
