Ask a Question
This hardy selection of Texas Heather was made by the University of Georgia's Sharad Phatak, from seedlings grown from seed originally collected in Arizona. The low mounding mats (1' tall x 2' wide) consist of arching, wiry, reddish stems, clothed with tiny pointed green leaves. Each clump is covered from late April through November with hundreds of small, light purple flowers... each one with dark stripes radiating out from the center... extremely cute, and a superb groundcover!
