This cross from the late Cecil Houdyshel is a tetraploid version of C. x powellii. Although the flowers are not monstrous like some of the more gaudy members of the genus, C. 'Cecil Houdyshel' flowers from spring to frost with soft pink flowers atop sturdy 3' tall stalks.
