Crinum 'Little Lugger' is a splendid Dave Lehmiller hybrid of Crinum lugardiae x Crinum americanum that's become one of our favorite crinum lilies. Crinum 'Little Lugger' forms a small, fast-offsetting clump of narrow, glossy green foliage. Starting in mid-July (NC) and continuing through mid-October, the clumps are topped with up to 6-7 30" tall stalks at once, each with symmetrical flower heads of 7-9, insanely fragrant, large white flowers, highlighted by the burgundy stamens. Crinum 'Little Lugger' fits in even the smallest of gardens. Moist, rich soils are best, but these are also quite drought tolerant during seasonal moisture fluctuations.
