Crinum 'Carroll Abbott' is a fabulous introduction from Texas crinum breeder Marcelle Sheppard that was derived from a cross of Crinum bulbispermum and Crinum scabrum. Starting in June, the 30" tall stalks are topped with clusters of widely opened white flowers with a red band down the center of each petal. In contrast to Crinum 'Schreck', the flowers of Crinum 'Carroll Abbott' are wider, the red stripes are narrower, and the stigma is red instead of white.
