Crinum 'Pass-Along Bayou Beauty' is a discovery by Texas crinum guru Marcelle Sheppard, that appears to be a heavy-flowering clone of Crinum x baconi...a hybrid of Crinum americanum, x Crinum zeylanicum. For us, Crinum 'Pass-Along Bayou Beauty' forms a medium-sized clump, topped for us starting in mid October with 3' tall, but lax stalks, ending in an umbel of up to 7 bright maroon buds that open as fragrant white, outfacing flowers, each petal highlighted by a dark stripe of red near the tips...a very vigorous grower. In Sept, the scapes flop badly.
