Crinum 'Antares' is a seriously massive crinum, from Florida crinum breeder Alani Davis, who crossed Crinum 'Ellen Bosanquet' x Crinum 'J.C. Harvey' to create this gem. The 3' tall x 8' wide giant clump is composed of 5' long, glossy green leaves, and topped, starting in early July with 3.5' tall flower spikes that emerge as black red buds and open to reveal 11-13, widely-out-facing, sweetly-scented, huge, rich-red flowers...the best true red crinum on the market...an apt tribute to the red supergiant star, Antares. You're sure to love this monster if you have enough space.
