This 1989 Martyn Rix introduction from Western Sichuan China, is already being touted as the best new perennial in the last decade. The foliage and growth resemble a dissected bleeding heart...12" tall x 18" wide. The clumps are topped with electric blue flowers throughout the spring season. The slowly stoloniferous corydalis goes dormant in early summer, but returns the following fall... it really hates heat!
