Cortaderia selloana 'Usballata'

From a Pierre Bennerup expedition to the Andean foothills, comes this new selection of pampas grass. Found near the village of Usballata, this pampas differs from the commonly sold selections from New Zealand in that it should be a bit hardier. You can expect the same style of formal, arching, grey green foliage, topped in late summer with stunning large flower heads.... not recommended for California, where there is a problem with pampas grass seeding into wild areas.
