    If you have grown C. verticillata, and it spread too much, then C. pulchra is for you. Here is another fabulous southeast US native that has been overlooked too long. Our original plant from Woodlanders has performed marvelously in the garden with an upright, non spreading form. C. pulchra has bright yellow flowers with a black eye from spring into summer...folks really like those black eyes...maybe it's a domestic violence issue.
