This is one of the most spectacular plants in our garden. The giant purple-black petioles (stalks) rise to nearly 7'. At the end of each petiole sits a giant, green, heart-shaped leaf (to 3' long) with a shiny black cast. In late summer, the plant is home to wonderful yellow aroid flowers, to 12" long, with a fragrance of papayas...WOW!
