This gem makes a bold statement in the garden, with 6'+, deep purple petioles (stalks) leading to the 3' long, giant green leaves with a slight hazy purple cast, like the air over Los Angeles. The 1' tall yellow flowers have a wonderful papaya-like fragrance. Although it sends out wild-looking runners, it has been very slow to spread...wonderful!
