(aka: Keiskeia japonica) Collinsonia japonica 'Snow White' is a white-flowered seed strain of the little-known Japanese salvia relative. Collinsonia japonica 'Snow White' is easy to grow in a light shade woodland garden where it forms a 3' tall x 5' wide herbaceous clump of semi-woody stalks clothed with 4" long light green leaves. Starting for us in mid-September, the deer-resistant clumps are adorned with axillary spikes of small white flowers...quite a show at a time when the woodland garden is often quite bare.
