Begonia taiwaniana 'Alishan Angel' is our 2020 introduction from a collection from 6,500' elevation in Taiwan's Yushan County, where it grew alongside Aucuba chinensis. It has thrived in our garden hardiness trials since 2009, so it's finally time to share. Begonia 'Alishan Angel' forms an airy clump of stalks to 18" tall x 18" wide. Each stalk is adorned with 5" long x 1" wide long pointed green leaves, heavily speckled white. Small light pink flowers dangle from the terminal stems in very late fall.
