What a great plant! Begonia 'Shanxi White' was collected in 1996 at 3,500' elevation in the Yueba Forest Station in China's Shanxi Province where it was growing in a moist rock crevice. Each 1' tall x 2' wide clump of Begonia sinensis 'Shanxi White' has small, light green leaves and is topped with masses of pure white flowers from midsummer until fall. Like Begonia grandis, Begonia sinensis reproduces by small axillary bulbils which form in late summer and fall.
