While most folks have grown the larger cousin, B. grandis, this cutie is less apt to take over the garden thanks to its full grown stature of only 10-12" tall. Emerging from dormancy in mid-May, each plant forms a 1' tall x 1' wide clump, topped throughout the summer with light pink flowers. Small bulbils form at each leaf axil to aid in propagation. B. sinensis is tolerant of all conditions except wet soils. B. sinensis is great combined with hostas and ferns in the woodland garden.
