    This selection of Japanese painted fern, from Angelo and Carol Randaci, has small lacy crests at the tip of each frond. In color, the leaves have the same purple stems and silver-marked pinnae of the species. Each 15" wide clump makes a unique specimen plant for the woodland garden.
