From our Korean expedition comes this rare astilbe species found on the famed Mt. Chiri. The seed for this offering came from a colony growing in very dry shade at 3000' elevation. The finely divided clumps of foliage are topped in July and August with open 2' tall, narrow flower spikes that range in color from pink to nearly white.
