Astilbe 'Beauty of Ernst' is a 2005 introduction from Henk Holtmaat's astilbe breeding program in the Netherlands. This fast-growing upright clumper makes a 2' tall x 18" wide clump of dark green foliage, edged with red in cool weather. The clumps are topped with 2' tall arching spikes of pink-lavender flowers in early summer.
