(aka: Ceterachopsis dalhousieae) This unusual miniature fern, named after the Earl of Dalhousie (no relation to doll houses), has one of the most unique distributions in the fern world, being native to moist, rocky ravines at 4,000' to 7,000' elevation in southern Arizona, northern Mexico, and the Himalayas. In the garden, Asplenium dalhousieae forms a compact 4" tall x 10" wide clump of deeply incised light green leaves...very unique and very cute! Special thanks to the Elizabeth Miller Garden for sharing spores.
