(aka: A. A1SA-063) This asparagus species is one of the many amazing members of this genus that we saw on our 2005 trip to South Africa. We spied this particular plant growing at 4400' elevation by a large rock outcrop near Cathcart in the Eastern Cape Province. In the wild, the plants were about 4' tall, but who knows what it will do in cultivation. The supply is very limited, so if you want to experiment with this one, don't delay.
