Asarum magnificum is one of the most beautiful and most highly prized of the Chinese wild gingers. The large thick leaves of Asarum magnificum are usually dark green and heavily patterned in silver. In late spring, you can't help but notice the large flowers of black-purple with a wrinkled, white throat poking out between the evergreen foliage. Asarum magnificum is an easy-to-grow clump former makes a superb specimen plant in the woodland garden.
