    We fail to understand why this gem of a plant isn't grown more in areas with dry summers. The small bright silvery-white duckfoot-looking foliage adorns this non-weedy, deer resistant artemisia. The stems lay flatter than a road klll possum, resembling a small prostrate dusty miller. Artemisia stelleriana makes a great addition to the rock garden, especially where highlighting nearby plants is desired. In our climates, expect a 2' wide clump in three years. As with most artemisias, good summer drainage is important to success.
