This seed strain of columbine produces colorful 18" wide clumps of gold and chartreuse speckled foliage, topped in late April and early May with 2' tall spikes of violet flowers...a great way to brighten the spring garden. After flowering, cut the clump (foliage and old flower stalks) to the ground to refresh the foliage. The timing of this horticultural circumcision depends on whether you want more offspring or not.
