Aquilegia chrysantha 'Denver Gold' is an easy-to-grow, stunning addition to the spring garden. Native from Colorado south to Mexico, the 2-3' tall stalks arise from an evergreen rosette of deeply lobed, glaucous green foliage. In late spring, the stalks are topped with clouds of long-spurred yellow flowers...great emerging through lower ground covers. This long-lived columbine will reflower if dead-headed promptly, and if not, will reseed true...assuming your pollinators are well-trained and if your plants are kept a safe distance from other horny columbines.
