Amorphophallus 'Mary Sizemore' is a 2022 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a Cyrille Claudel cross of Amorphophallus konjac x albus, that he named after legendary Florida aroid explorer, Mary Sizemore. The 46" tall green stalks are adorned with black green spots that are heaviest toward the base. The stalks end in a 43" wide leaf canopy. The 23" tall inflorescences, which appear for us in mid-June, are composed of a liver red spathe interior, matching spadix that just tops the spathe, and a green with dark-spotted stalk. This is the first commercial offering of this hybrid, and quantities are quite limited.
