Agave tenuifolia is a little-known century plant species, related to Agave striata that was first published in 1995 from the state of Queretaro, where it grows between 1,500'-5,000' elevation in open forests. The solitary, porcupine-like rosettes are composed of round green leaves. The lax flower spikes end in an array of yellow flowers.
