(syn: Agave potatorum 'Verschaffeltii Marginata Aurea') Agave 'Ikiri Raijin Nishiki' is a prized, but rarely available Japanese selection of the Southern Mexico native Agave potatorum. Agave 'Ikiri Raijin Nishiki' forms one of the most stunning specimens of any century plant we've seen. The deeply-lobed blue leaves, which compose the symmetrical 1' tall x 18" wide clump, widen to a triangle at the tip, and adorned along the edges with attractive orange-red spines. The central blue leaf color is surrounded by a wide band of light blue, which in turn is edged in creamy yellow. Agave 'Ikiri Raijin Nishiki' is a splendid, easy-to-grow specimen, but unfortunately for those who enjoy sharing, it rarely produces offsets.
