(syn: Agave potatorum 'Verschaffeltii Marginata Aurea') Agave 'Ikiri Raijin Nishiki' is a prized Japanese selection of the Southern Mexico native Agave potatorum. Agave 'Ikiri Raijin Nishiki' forms one of the most stunning specimens of any century plant we've seen. The deeply-lobed blue leaves, which compose the symmetrical 1' tall x 18" wide clump, widen to a triangle at the tip, and adorned along the edges with attractive orange-red spines. The central blue leaf color is surrounded by a wide band of light blue, which in turn is edged in creamy yellow. Agave 'Ikiri Raijin Nishiki' is a splendid, easy-to-grow specimen, but unfortunately for those who enjoy sharing, it rarely produces offsets.
