As we say in the South, "who's yo' daddy?" We asked that question as we hand pulled these agaves from a batch of Agave havardiana seedlings as obvious hybrids...agaves are truly a promiscuous bunch of plants. The leaves are narrower, more concave, and have more black teeth than the true species. Our guess is they may have mated with a nearby Agave lechugilla...but no one will admit to watching so we can't be sure...paternity tests are still far too expensive. Anyway, they are each unique and should be very hardy...adopt one today!
