This offering of the amazing whale's tongue century plant, Agave ovatifolia, are seed grown plants which offer an opportunity for unique seedlings, compared to the clonal varieties that we also offer. We see slight differences in size of the plants as well as the size of the teeth and the width of the leaves. As a general rule, Agave ovatifolia forms a 3' tall x 6' wide symmetrical, non-offsetting rosette of smooth silver-blue leaves. Agave ovatifolia seems particularly tolerant of cold moist climates compared to many other century plants we've grown.
