(syn: A. polycantha var. jalapensis) This collection of the rare (or should I say obscure) agave is from the site that agave guru Howard Gentry mentions in his book near Zacatepec in the Mexican state of Puebla. This small 2' wide agave makes a tight mound of green, small-spined leaves, topped when mature with a dramatic 15' tall flower spike. We don't have many, so take advantage of this opportunity to acquire a plant of this rarity.
