Nutty Professor Hybrid Century Plant
Item #: 17212
Zones: 7b to 10b, guessing
Dormancy: Evergreen
Height: 24" tall
Origin: Hybrid
Pot Size: 3.5" pot (24 fl. oz/0.7 L)
This lovely century plant hybrid originally came to us, unnamed from a grower in San Diego. After growing it for several years outdoors, here in Zone 7b/8a, we're fairly confident that it's a hybrid of Agave lophantha and Agave ocahui. In the ground, it's survived 14 degrees F, so far, and has formed a 2' tall x 2.5' wide specimen, composed of narrow green leaves, highlighted by a muted, central yellow stripe, that's brightest as the new growth emerges.
