Agave havardiana 'Glass Mountain' is a fascinating strain of the US native Agave havardiana. This Alan Bradshaw seed collection from 5,000' elevation in the Glass Mountains of Brewster County, Texas, produces fast-growing, very blue plants with an extraordinary number of teeth (for the species), and a scabrous leaf back, indicating that at some past time, a promiscuous Agave asperrima might have been nearer than its current 300-mile separation. The cold tolerance of from this population has exceeded plants collected from higher and more northerly populations...truly a gem!
