(coll # A1K-012) Here's a new one especially for those of you in hot climates. We collected seed of this gem in 1997 on a moist, densely wooded hillside in Taean, South Korea. This deer-resistant monkshood has responded to our muggy climate by being one of the most vigorously clumping plants in our garden. The stems adorned with light green geranium-shaped leaves grow upright until midsummer, when like a good drunk, they can't stand any longer and drape over nearby friends. The flower stems then emerge and again grow upward, topped in late summer with splendid spikes of ivory flowers. This is an amazing plant...how has it escaped cultivation for so long?
