Iris tectorum 'Slippery Slope' is an amazingly vigorous Darrell Probst roof iris introduction from Sichuan, China. For us, Iris tectorum 'Slippery Slope' forms the largest clump of any Iris tectorum we've seen, forming a 30" wide, tight-clustering clump in 3 years topped, starting in late April, with 2' tall spikes terminating in lovely blue-purple, six-petalled flowers. The three falls (horizontal to pendent) petals are adorned with a lovely white eyezone etched with purple lines.
