Aspidistra elatior 'Stars and Stripes' is a vigorous, easy-to-grow, but sadly, little-known cast iron plant cultivar that forms a dense clump of 36" long x 4" wide, medium, evergreen leaves, each vertically streaked with creamy yellow and then sprinkled with a few random white dots...certainly far more stripes than stars. Everyone from ACLU activists to deplorables should grow a clump of Aspidistra 'Stars and Stripes' in their shade garden or in a house-bound container.
