More Information About Heucherella

Heucherella are human-created hybrids between two of our great native perennial plants (heuchera and tiarella). x Heucherella is equally as garden worthy as either of its parents, but with more diversity of flower and leaf shape. For years, only a couple of x Heucherella hybrids were available, but thanks to recent breeding efforts the palette has greatly expanded. Many of the newer Heucherella hybrids we offer are dramatic improvements in both flower and foliage...superb specimens for the woodland garden.

Tips for Growing Heucherella (Foamy Bells)

Heucherella prefers morning sun and well-drained soil, although it is quite drought-tolerant once established. We have tried most of the named x Heucherellas and selected the most vigorous and ornamental cultivars to offer. Like its parents x Heucherella attracts butterflies and is quite deer- and rabbit-resistant.
