We have been studying the difference in populations of Y. filamentosa throughout its range and are finally able to share the first of these unique forms. This offering of our native Y. filamentosa is from a population growing in DeKalb Co., GA, on a gigantic granite outcrop known as Mt. Arabia. In the wild, this population was growing in full sun in tiny rock cracks and had very narrow blue twisted leaves. As seedlings, the vigor has been phenomenal. We expect them to mature at 2' in width with typical 4' tall flower spikes of white bells in late spring.
