Veronicastrum virginicum 'Fascination' is a Dutch selection of the US native (Minnesota east to Maine and south to Alabama) perennial, from the garden of artist Ton ter Linden. The 6' tall, terminally-branched stalks of Culver's root are clothed with whorled green foliage and further adorned with tiny veronica like flowers of soft pink, starting above the leaves. Flowering typically begins in late spring. Veronicastrum virginicum prefers moist soils in part sun.
