T. 'Cole's Prostrate' is the classic vertically impaired hemlock for the rock garden. Found in 1929 by H.R. Cole in New Hampshire, a ten year old specimen will reach 6" tall x 24" wide. The helmock like needles are borne on branches that literally follow the contours of the ground as it slowly expands outward...a spectacular specimen plant!
