Tricyrtis 'Oniji' is a Japanese toad lily hybrid that we're pretty sure is a cross of Tricyrtis formosana and Tricyrtis lasiocarpa. The 30" tall stalks of Tricyrtis 'Oniji' are clothed with very glossy green leaves and topped from mid-September through late-October (NC), with widely-branched terminal spikes of light lavender, orchid-like flowers, highlighted by small violet specks and dark purple petal tips.
