(Platycladus 'Franky Boy') Thuja 'Franky Boy' is unquestionably one of the most unique arborvitaes we've encountered, and a personal favorite as well. Imagine a conifer with long, overly green frizzy hair and you can start to visualize Thuja 'Franky Boy'. This unique arborvitae started its life in 1990 as a seedling of Thuja 'Elegantissima' at the Frank Nursery of Austria. The threadlike, pendulous branches of chartreuse green foliage add a fine texture to any planting. The largest plant we've encountered is a magnificent 10' tall x 7' wide specimen at the Dallas Arboretum.
