Thermopsis chinensis has been a star of our early spring garden for several years. Starting in February, the Chinese bush pea (which we saw in both the literal and figurative sense in China) is seemingly on fire with its dazzling 8" tall spikes of bright yellow flowers, held nicely above the 15" tall, green pea-like foliage. This tidy little easy-to-grow Thermopsis chinensis is the perfect welcome to spring after a long winter.
