This collection of the US native marsh fern is one that we made in the far end of its range on Cheju Island, South Korea, in 1997. It has proved to be a splendid selection that seems taller, more dense in growth, and more drought-tolerant than the US forms that we have grown. You can expect 18", light green, lacily-cut fronds on a creeping rhizome. In average garden soils, you can expect a 5' wide patch in 5 years. With more water, the spread rate should be slightly faster.
